dc.description.abstract | The axion, a hypothetical fundamental particle, was postulated as an attractive solution to the CP problem in quantum chromodynamics and believed to be an ideal candidate for the cold dark matter. The Center for Axion and Precision Physics Research of the Institute for Basic Science has launched a state of the art experiment to search for the hypothesised new particle using microwave resonant cavities. I will discuss R&D efforts at our center and plans for the experiment. (c) The Author(s) Read More: http://www.worldscientific.com/doi/abs/10.1142/S2010194516601939 | - |
